YCL Studio, in collaboration with MB Urbanistinė Architektūra, won the architectural competition for the Sendvaris Eldership Public Services Centre in the Klaipėda District.

YCL Studio, in collaboration with MB Urbanistinė Architektūra, won the architectural competition for the Sendvaris Public Services Centre, organized by the Klaipėda District Municipality. Four proposals were submitted to the competition, with the joint project Sennu receiving first place.

The project is conceived as a composition of buildings of varying scales and heights, with functions distributed across separate volumes while maintaining a clear spatial and functional relationship between them. This approach creates architecture on a more human scale and avoids the dominance of a single monolithic structure.

At the heart of the composition is a public community square, serving as the primary spatial connector. Adjacent to it is a semi-open courtyard designed for visitors and employees. Together, these spaces create zones of varying degrees of publicness, naturally organizing circulation and fostering interaction between different functions.

The project operates as a small-scale urban structure, where the grouping of buildings and public spaces forms a clear and vibrant center. This model moves away from the dominance of a single object, instead creating a layered spatial system that responds sensitively to its context and accommodates diverse user scenarios.
