BLUE – competition work for an administrative building in Žvėrynas, Vilnius, Lithuania. YCL studio
Competition proposal for administrative building in Sėlių str. 48, Vilnius – is fully connected with the environment, independent and open to the city’s residents and guests. The basic idea is the sustainable relationship between the building and its surrounding environment. Our proposal reflects and unites the historical Žvėrynas area and the contemporary architectural language. The office is designed to be a natural object in the context of Žvėrynas: maintaining altitude of local architecture, morphotypes of volumes, materiality and green spaces. It is a new, updated public space for local people and communities. At the city level, the building notes importance of sustainable architecture, energy saving, renewable energy sources and approaches to modern work culture. All together the building becomes company’s business card with the help of architecture and innovation.
