Concept
85 sq.m
Material: Rammed earth

A small vertical labyrinth on a small plot.
Earthly house in communal gardens. The 85 square meters house was just the right size for the client, who wanted something unusual and rarely seen in Lithuania. Rammed earth walls surround the house on all sides. The volumetric composition is designed in such a way that you would never guess how high the space is, where one floor ends and the other begins. A small vertical labyrinth on a small plot, surrounded by a communal garden and backed by apple, pear and other fruit trees make this house more inviting, more earthly and more merging with its surroundings. The house will be used more as a summer residence, but still has all the necessary rooms, from the kitchen to the living room to the master bedroom and guest/children’s room. We are not sure if we can turn this concept into reality as rammed earth is not a common building material in Lithuania, but as a concept we really like it and would like to share it with you so you can see it.
